The 1990 original was a collaboration drawn during a visit: pencils (and later coloring) by Dave Bryant, inks by Susan van Camp. According to Susan, the tree had "a lot of character"; the fast-food bag and box of doughnuts were her idea -- "after all, leopards always stash their lunches in trees." |
